Activities Since it’s
inception in 2008, Parash Foundation is actively engaged in Microfinance
activities and other social activities in North East India. Present
focus is in creating a generation of successful micro entrepreneurs.
The Foundation conducts surveys in various areas to identify potential
micro-entrepreneurs. Foundation officials then guide the identified
micro-entrepreneurs to form suitable groups. Then a meeting of the group
is organized where officials from our foundation explains about
microfinance and it’s scope in micro-entrepreneurship in general and
about the objectives, rules and regulations of Parash Foundation in
particulars with special emphasis on how to get financial assistance to
build successful small businesses.
Micro-entrepreneurs willing to apply for loan are then advised and
guided to apply for loan in prescribed form of the foundation.
Application forms are provided and assistance is offered in filling up
the application forms correctly. Filled up application forms for loan
are then accepted from each individual micro-entrepreneur.
Field investigation is conducted for each individual application for
loan. Care is taken to complete the field investigations in time. In
field investigation, the information provided by the applicant is
verified and the potential and prospect of the micro-entrepreneur are
assessed. Field investigations are normally completed within 15 days.
After field investigations are completed, loans are sanctioned.
Then a meeting is convened in a location suitable for the members of the
group e.g. in the residence of one of the members. Repayment procedure
is explained by official of our foundation. Queries by members are
answered. The sanctioned loan amount is disbursed to each member in
cheque or in cash.
After disbursement of loan, developments are continuously monitored to
ensure success of each micro-entrepreneur and re-payment of loans.
